TV Scheduling - 3 main terms

Inheritance - scheduling a programme after a popular programme in the hope that it will inherit some of the audience from the popular programme.

Pre - echo - scheduling a programme before a popular programme in hope that the audience will tune in before the end of the programme and catch the end and decide to watch the whole episode next time it is on.

Hammocking - scheduling a programme between two popular programmes to get some audience from both of the popular programme.
